Rickey Dale Roper of McRae was born July 12, 1956 and died June 12, 2023. Rickey was born in Oakland, California to Warner and Robbie Roper. He graduated from McRae High School in 1974 and was the Senior Class President. He was a fan of the Las Vegas Raiders. Rickey played basketball and baseball while in school and was a darn good pitcher and third baseman. He worked at Supersweet Feed in Beebe for several years. Due to his failing health, Rickey had not been able to work in recent years. Rickey is predeceased by his parents and one brother, Ronnie Roper of McRae. He is survived by his sister, Debbie (husband Harold) Ulsperger of McRae and his nephew, Stephen (wife Torrie) Nance; great niece and nephew, Ivy and Lucas of Beebe and “adopted” son, Zach Woodall.
