Dennis Ray Taylor,70, of Clermont, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on April 17, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents: Cletus William Taylor and Martha Ann Howdeshell Taylor. His kindhearted aunt, Clotine Cochran, also predeceased him. Dennis is survived by his faithful and loving wife, Joanne and his adoring children: Cheryl Lefevre, Krystal Mann and Dennis “Ray” Taylor. Also, his step-children: Chuckie, Tyler and Sunni Shannon who all loved him as their father. Dennis had the ability to make each of them feel special and well loved as was heard from the testimonies at his memorial service. Five grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren are a precious part of his legacy. Dennis/ ”Bubba” will be forever remembered by his siblings: Dorthy Mathis(Joe), David Taylor(Jenni), Bobby Grubb(Angie), Donna Taylor and Letha Swain (David). Dennis is remembered with kindness and affection by his step-mother, Lynn Taylor of Beebe. Emmitt Taylor, Horace Taylor(Erma), Kathyrn Asburne, Modene Poe, all of Beebe and Linda Welker, Illinois are Dennis’s cherished aunts and uncles. Janice Hutchins and her late husband “Junior” were always a warm listening ear for Dennis. Nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews are too numerous to list but many have memories of the prankster! Dennis was born and raised in Beebe, Arkansas, where he graduated from Beebe High in 1971. He played football as a running back; enjoying the game and his teammates.He lived with his gentle grandfather,Newt Taylor, during his high school years. Dennis went on to become a sergeant in the Air Force. He attended the AIB School of Baking Science and Technology in Kansas. He then began a career in the baking industry working his way into management. This led him to work in many states including Hawaii. Companies wanted his oversight that led to perfect bread baking! After retirement he loved being outside and taking walks. He would walk most days to MacDonald’s to meet up with other veterans for breakfast. Many came to his service and shared Dennis’s “tall tales”! They all loved him.He enjoyed his “soaps”, and classical old shows. Dennis faithfully gave to St. Jude every month. Dennis was buried at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida, with military honors. He was well remembered, loved and cherished by family and friends.
