Rick Martin, 65, of Antioch, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Saturday June 25, 2022. He was born January 31, 1957, in Beebe, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Martin and Jeanenne Belew Martin Sier; and brother, Kimel Johnson. Rick is survived by his loving Life Partner of over 21 years, Julia Thayer; Hazel Martin; son Chad Martin and his wife Natalie Martin and their daughters Macy and Baylor; son Shade Martin and his wife Samantha Martin and their daughter Sadie and soon to arrive son Cooper; Bethany Niswonger and her husband Justin and their children Westin and Elizabeth; Joseph Sheldon and his wife Christy and their children, William and Christian (Carol and son Gavin); Jeremiah Sheldon and his wife Tiffany and their children Brenden (Shea and their daughter Brylee), Joshua, Trinity (and son Greyson), Jaycee, Ryan, Harley; sister Carolyn King (C.A.), brother Anthony Martin (Martha); sister Tonya Porter (Louie); sister Bernice Goss; brother, Richard Johnson; sister Vivian Ramsey, and sister Louetta Blount; also a multitude of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends. Rick was known by anyone who had the pleasure to work with him to be the hardest-working man they had ever known. Younger guys report to have had to take a break long before Rick would even consider stopping work. He had a great sense of humor and was never short on jabs to make someone smile or advice to offer without expecting anything in return. He was a dedicated truck driver for over 42 years and yet after he retired in 2017, continued to work with his son Chad doing dirt and excavation work daily. Rick was a Christian and loved his family, extended family, and friends dearly. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
