Bennie Lee Brock Sr., a devout Christian and Baptist, went to be with his Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of June 14, 2021. He was born on January 23rd, 1939 to Orville Raymond Brock and Goldie Marie (Jones) Brock. After High School, Bennie joined the Air Force and upon being stationed at the Little Rock Air Force Base, he met the love of his life, Jimmie Ruth Burns. They were married on February 4, 1960, recently celebrating 61 years of marriage. Bennie made many friends through the years while working at ASU Beebe and later at the VA Administration in Little Rock. A huge sports fan, Bennie was often found, in his younger years, umpiring and coaching at the local ball park, always setting a good example for those around him. A proud father, grandfather and great grandfather, Bennie always smiled and gloated when he talked about his family. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Orville and Goldie Brock, 10 siblings – Bud Brock, Dick Brock, Harry Brock, Chet Brock, Bill Brock, Francis Brock, Irene Thompson, Helen Murphy, Marie Markey, Ruby York and one great granddaughter, Laynie Johnston. Benny is survived by his wife, Jimmie Ruth Brock, daughter, Tina M. (Roger) Wiley, son, Bennie L. (Pam) Brock Jr, daughters, Jenny S. (Chip) Connell and Kim L. (Martie) Roberts, 8 grandchildren: Maria (Ahmed) Reda, Joey (Layne) Cook, Michelle (Jacob) Johnston, Dale (Jessica) Wiley, Channing Brock, Brock Cook, Taylor (Brock) Bunting, Kyle (Ashley) Roberts and 13 great-grandchildren, in addition to a host of nieces, nephews, brother and sisters- in -law and friends. There will be a celebration of his life at the First Baptist Church in Beebe, Arkansas on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. A private burial will be at Antioch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Beebe Christian Outreach Center.
