Johnny Harold (Tex) Myers, 74, of Beebe, Arkansas passed away March 9, 2021 at the VA hospital. Johnny was born May 3, 1946 at La Porte City, Iowa to John E. & Cledeth (Sue) Myers. After graduating Beebe High School, Johnny joined the U.S. Navy and was a part of the Seabees construction battalion serving two tours in Vietnam. Johnny spent most of his working years in the Boilermakers Local 69 as a master welder and after retirement continued building or fixing things for everyone imaginable. He enjoyed hunting & fishing, spending time with friends, and catching up on the town gossip every morning at Daylight Donuts. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents & three siblings. He is survived by a loving companion, Doris Williams; the mother of his three children, Jeannie Ruggiero of Spring Hill, FL; son, Richard Myers of Lamar; son, John Jr. (Roxanne) Myers of Bryant; daughter, Merrilee (Tony) Conner of Spring Hill, FL; three grandchildren, Madison (Tim), Hayden, and Olivia; one great grandchild, Everett. The family would like to thank the Veterans Administration for all of the care Dad received over the years. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home but due to the Covid-19 pandemic there will be no services.
