On Friday, November 27, 2020, James William Sentell, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 90. James was born in Opal, Arkansas, to Allie Franklin Sentell and Hattie (Goodwin) Sentell. His parents raised him in Ward, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Clara Lou (Henderson) Sentell, 2 sons, Mike Sentell (Kay), Phil Sentell (Angie), 5 grandchildren, Chad Sentell (Summer), Natasha Sentell Weathers (Josh), Shauna Sentell Davis (Spencer), Jacob Sentell, and Tyler Thompson (Amanda). He also has 8 great grandchildren and a wealth of nieces, nephews, and great friends. James was a Korean war combat veteran serving from June of 1951 through May of 1953. When he returned from service, he married Clara on June 6, 1953, and they moved to California where he worked for the Ford Motor Company. In 1958, they returned to Arkansas and settled in Beebe where James became a lifelong business owner of Sentell TV & Appliances. He also served on the Beebe Fire Department for 36 years and was a founding member of the Beebe City Zoning Commission. He loved dancing with his wife, traveling and camping throughout the United States, fishing, and gardening. He lived his life dedicated to his family and his country. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Beebe. Visitation was 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday 29th of November, 2020 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe, AR.
