After a long illness, Dorothy Marie Crisco (nee Spradlin), of Beebe, Arkansas, joined her beloved husband, Rev. Tommy Lee Crisco; son Tommy Dale Crisco; parents George and Vera (Permenter) Spradlin; son-in-law Odell Smith; and siblings Arcie, Jess, Charles, Wilma, Dennis, Aldolph and Junior; at the throne of Christ on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at approximately 9:00 p.m. She was 86 years young. Marie, as she was known, was born in Mount Vernon, Arkansas, on October 30, 1933. She met Tommy Lee Crisco (now deceased) in 1954. They fell in love, married in two weeks, and were blessed with two sons and two daughters, Tommy Dale (Shirley) who died suddenly in December, 2015, Carl (Nancy), Debbie (Chris), and Donnette; along with six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Marie enjoyed gardening and was always delighted with the hummingbirds that were frequent visitors, but she found her greatest joy in her family. Her smile and sense of humor lightened our hearts. Though we miss her greatly, we’re comforted by the knowledge that to be absent in the body is to be present in the spirit (2 Corinthians 5:8). The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Beebe Retirement Center. Their care and support at such a difficult time has been a source of strength to all who knew and loved this amazing woman. Visitation was 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Celebration of life was planned for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, with committal following at Antioch Cemetery. State of Arkansas COVID-19 directives: Face coverings required at all times. Maintain social distancing. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. www.smithfamilycares.com
