Betty Jo Owens Betty Jo Owens, 88, returned to her heavenly father February 19, 2020 after her long suffering with dementia. Betty was born November 27, 1931 in Searcy, AR to Guyluia Mary and Devilla Conrad Harris. She married Carroll Fox Owens on August 6, 1949. Betty devoted her life to her husband and raising her two girls. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Betty was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord and was very active in her church. She was happiest when making memories with her family and friends and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty loved helping others and sharing the news of her Lord and Savior. Waiting to greet her in heaven were her parents, Guyluia Mary and Devilla Conrad Harris, her husband of 52 years Carroll Fox Owens, her daughter, Carolyn Sue Bivens, brother, Travis Harris and sisters, Helen Harris, Inolene Willis and Flora Brown and her sister-in-law, Betty Harris. Betty is survived by her daughter, Kathy Williams (Kieth) of Beebe, AR; brother, Bill Harris of Newport, AR; two sisters, Joyce Ahart (Byrum) of Cabot, AR, Shirley Davis (Ewell) of Newport, AR, and Velma Harris of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren, Mark Bivens of Beebe, AR, Owen Bivens of Conway, AR, Jodi Zeigler (Slade) of Beebe, AR, Jerrod Williams (Brandi) of Sheridan, AR and Janalyn Williams Massey (Greg) of North Little Rock, AR. She also leaves behind her precious great-grandchildren, Alli, Jake and Wade Bivens, Brock and Sawyer Bivens, Keeli and Reece Zeigler, Baylor and Judson Williams and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to especially thank Beebe Retirement Center and Baptist Health Hospice for their devotion to her end of life care. A Celebration of her life was held Saturday, February 22 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob. Interment followed in Watson Cemetery in Newport.
