Barbara Jean Simons, 89, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord July 2, 2023. She was born May 28, 1934, in Beebe, Arkansas to Jesse and Mae Burns. She was a housewife and a member of Searcy United Methodist Church. Barbara is survived by two sons, Sidney Simons of Fayetteville and Stuart (Jill) Simons of Jonesboro; two grandsons, Stefan (Mackenzie) Simons of Jonesboro and Nathan Simons, also of Jonesboro; one great grandson, Rhett Simons; one brother, Buddy Burns of Beebe; four sisters who she had a special bond with, Emma Grace Sandefur of Sherwood, Becky Burge of Cabot, Jimmie Ruth Brock of Beebe, and Susie Pruitt of Beebe. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Jack Simons. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2023, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W.
