On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Sybil “Jo” Price passed away at her home in Beebe. She was 86 years old. Jo was loved by her children: Christine (Keith) Jones, Doug Price, Billy Joe “B.J.” (Angela) Price, Lisa (Wayne) Mills, Mike (Reine) Price and Susan Steffen. She was a sister to siblings Elinor Large, Lamar (Sandy) Cope, and Lois Zahn. Jo served as grandmother to 14 grandchildren: Damara (Louis) Moore and family, Zachary Jones, T.J. (Rachel) Price and family, Bobby Joe (Kristen) Price, Brooke Mills, Paige Mills, Stephano Price and family, Sang Jung Park, Gabe (Allison) Price, Autumn (Alan) Quiles and family, William English, Elaine Heath and family, Cindy Rose and family, Matthew Steffen and family. She was preceded in death by her husband William Paul Parsley and her husband Cecil Clinton Price. Jo was born on June 10, 1935 in Somers, Iowa. After graduating from high school she went on to enlist in the United States Army. There she completed training as an Operating Room Technician at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. She went to serve her country at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. It was there that she received the National Defense Service Medal. Following the Army, Jo did many things. She cared for her family, worked and served her community, and eventually found herself serving the American Red Cross in Searcy, Arkansas. There she served as a Disaster Relief Manager for events like September 11, Hurricane Katrina, and many others. A visitation for Sybil “Jo” Price is scheduled for Friday, June 3, 2022, at 9 am, with the funeral following at 10 am at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas.
