Beebe Police Respond Quickly and Arrest Two Adults and One Juvenille from Other Cities

Beebe Mayor Mike Robertson reports that on Sunday, January 28, 2018, at approximately 8:47 p.m. Beebe Police Department received numerous calls of gunshots fired in the area of North Pear Street and West Kansas Street.  The callers advised a silver vehicle was seen fleeing the area toward West Center Street at a high rate of speed. Officer’s quickly responded to the area and observed a silver vehicle that failed to yield to oncoming traffic at the intersection of Center Street and Dewitt Henry Drive. A traffic stop was performed on the vehicle in the 6200 block of Arkansas Highway 367 South.  While the officers were speaking with the driver, later identified as Antonio Williams (18) of Sherwood, and passengers, identified as Julius Spencer Ball (20) of Jacksonville and a juvenile male (17) of North Little Rock, evidence was discovered by the officers linking the three to the shooting.  All three suspects were taken into custody.  All three suspects were later interviewed by detectives and confessed to their involvement in the incident.  Julius Spencer Ball was charged with Aggravated Assault (2 counts), Terroristic Act, and Criminal Attempt to commit Aggravated Robbery. Antonio Williams and the juvenile were charged with Criminal Attempt to commit Aggravated Robbery.  All three suspects are being held without bond pending a bond hearing.  The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be pending.  No one was injured in the shooting.
