With the southern tier of counties in Arkansas getting the most snow – 4-6” – the central part of Arkansas, including Beebe, received about 1”-1.5” Monday night and ending early Tuesday morning. With temperatures in the low 20’s and predicted to be in the teens Tuesday night, anything that might melt Tuesday will create ice Tuesday night and early Wednesday, according to the forecasts. Beebe Schools were out Tuesday as were most schools in Arkansas except perhaps the upper northwest corner of the state which escaped this snowfall. Forecasts are for temperatures to be in the 60’s this weekend with rain. Pictured above, the sun is coming up Tuesday morning on No. Apple Street with about 1 1/2” of snow on the ground.
