During the regular December meeting of the Beebe City Council, Dec. 18, after an executive session, the Beebe City Council terminated the employment of Beebe District Court Clerk Misty Perkins after viewing an incident caught on camera where she allegedly disrespected a citizen. Even after that, White County District Judge Mark Derrick told Perkins to come to work the next day. Mayor Robertson told her not to. Judge Derrick has make the computer system inaccessible per court order, according the City Clerk Carol Westergren, which has put the city in a bind. Judge Derrick was given the chance to speak at the council meeting but declined. Alderman Lee McLane was sick with the flu and not at the meeting.
