Jason Smith Announces for Beebe School Board Position

Jason Smith is a Badger Alumni and lifelong resident of the Beebe School District. Jason grew up in the community of Vinity on a row crop and cattle farm. Jason graduated from Beebe High School in 1993 and went on to attend Arkansas State University – Beebe. After leaving college Jason entered the insurance industry in 1995 and became an agent at White County Farm Bureau in Beebe in 1997. Jason’s tenure at Farm Bureau ran until 2010 when he had an opportunity to take a position with American Safeguard Insurance. Jason is now Commercial Account Executive and Partner at American Safeguard Insurance. He has over 22 years of experience in the insurance industry, his primary focus is serving commercial clients in numerous industries across Arkansas and the US. Earlier this year Jason was appointed to the Arkansas Natural and Cultural Resources Council (ANCRC) by Arkansas Senate President Pro Tempore Jonathan Dismang and is involved in many other civic and professional organizations thru out the state. Jason was selected in 2016 to participate in the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce program Leadership Arkansas with 40 of the state’s most prominent business leaders. Jason also loves to pursue other business opportunities and is involved in companies that handle real estate, construction, agri-business, and capital investments. Jason and his wife Stephanie reside in the Antioch community with their two children Sydney and Austin. Stephanie is a realtor at Goff Realty and is a 1994 Beebe graduate. Jason’s daughter Sydney is a 2016 Beebe graduate and now attends the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. His son Austin will be a sophomore at Beebe this fall. Jason wants to continue the great leadership, vision, and direction that the Beebe school district is known for around the state. Jason feels with his background and experience in leadership that he can help the district to continue to thrive as it always has for generations to come.
