Call 9-1-1 for Medical Emergencies

Jun 8th, 2017 | By | Category: Top Story

As of June 1, 2017, all calls for ambulance service in White County will be routed through the 9-1-1 system to NorthStar EMS Dispatch. NorthStar EMS has upgraded their dispatch system to a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system to better manage emergency, as well as non-emergency calls. The new CAD system will allow the dispatch center to enter the address of the emergency, locate the nearest available ambulance, and dispatch it with directions sent to a computer table onboard the ambulances. If you call the local Beebe Police Department phone number, you will be instructed to hang up and call 9-1-1. This will only delay prompt medical care.
