Lloyd William Garland, 66, passed away on Monday morning, June 15, 2020. That morning God took his hand and he was ushered into eternal life. He was the husband of Sue Ellen Garland. They shared almost 44 years of marriage together. Born in Beebe, AR., he was the son of Sam (Sammy) and Edna Garland. He attended Beebe Schools. He was employed as a machine operator at Remington Arms in Lonoke and retired in 2018 after 38 years. Lloyd was a devout Christian for the majority of his life. He didn’t attend a brick and mortar church but he and his wife, Sue, were media members of Swaggart Ministries for many years. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. He adored his grandson and six granddaughters, cherishing every minute with them. He spent a lot of time in his yard landscaping and enjoyed home improvement projects. He had a passion for firearms and would visit local shooting ranges often. He is survived by his wife, Sue Ellen Melton-Garland, his son Steven (Cherie) Garland of Beebe; his daughter Annie (Justin) Corneilson of Cabot; grandkids: Amara, Celeste, Lucas and Ella Garland and Erin, Taylor, Trinity Corneilson. Aunt Verna Mae Gallaway-Harvey, niece -Teresa Turner, nephews: Bruce McCain all of Beebe; Rodney Garland and David Garland Jr. of Louisiana. He was proceeded in death by his father, Sam O. Garland, his mother, Edna Garland, brother, David Garland and sister, Mary Elizabeth Garland-McCain. There will be a graveside memorial service at the Beebe Cemetery on Monday, June 22nd at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Diabetes Research Foundation.
