Well, are you glad the political ads (on television) are over for awhile?  I know I am. It was interesting kind of following the strategy along the various campaigns. It got dirty and several of the ads stretched the truth - to put it politely.  But we’ll see more and possibly uglier in October as the Nov. election looms near. But for now, enjoy the “silence” of political rhetoric. I know I will.
Hope you are having a great start to the summer!  It goes by so fast!
I’ve been watching - with disgust and frustration - the oil disaster in the Gulf.  Right now, there is a guy on tv talking about microbes that his company has that can “eat” oil. The microbes digest the oil and produce water and carbon dioxide. These microbes were harvested, oddly enough, from the bottom of the ocean. So, I guess, if the oil ever made it down to the floor of the ocean, these naturally occuring microbes would eventually digest the oil. But, if we could actually spray this microbe soup on the oil slicks, it would reduce it by 80% in two days, so this guy on tv says. He said he has contacted BP and they are looking at it. I hope that is right and that the attempts at capping the oil leak will be successful. It is almost unimaginable the devastation that has been and could be coming if the oil leak is not stopped within the next few days. I can’t even imagine the ramifications of it. I feel so sorry for those people who make their living from tourism, fishing, etc. I know we all need to be praying for the relief for all these people and animals.
I’m still having behavioural problems with my house cats. There is one cat, Samson, who is just causing lots of problems. But I know if I put him somewhere else, there is likely to be another cat that will come forward that will take his place. I’m still experimenting with methods to stop this behaviour. My sleep has been affected by this so I am really wanting to get it resolved as soon as possible. I think I need a cat psychiatrist.
Go to your happy place.
See you next week!
