Sunshine Arnstein Manning passed away on May 12, 2010 at the end of a long illness. Born in Floyd, Arkansas on August 26, 1920, she is survived by her children: Gerald Manning of Austin, TX; Cindy Rowland of Round Rock, TX; Sarah Hughey of Round Rock, TX and Susan Maberry of Lee Summit, MO.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Hendrick of Kirbyville, TX. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Caroline Hughey Moss, Aaron Maberry, Nikki Rowland, Ace and Ben Manning, Sherry Angelle and Stephanie Ling. She had 5 great grandchildren.
Sunshine was a loving and dedicated wife and mother as well as a world traveler and a substitute teacher in the Beaumont area. Sunshine was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. She was a true animal lover and supported several animal rights organizations. Her joy of gardening was passed on to her children along with her great sense of style and grace and strong morals.
A Memorial service is planned for this summer in Floyd, AR. For those desiring remembrances, tributes may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of Arkansas.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Hearthstone Health Center, Round Rock TX, for their caring and gentle treatment of Sunshine during her stay there.
