William B. Manasco, 85 of Searcy, went to his Heavenly home on Thursday, March 4, 2010. He was born July 31, 1924 in Beebe, Arkansas to the late Marvin Cleo and Eva Price Manasco. A carpenter by trade, he followed the footsteps on Jesus as a charter member of Temple Baptist Church in Searcy, Arkansas. He was a veteran of WWII in the Navy on the USS Kretchmer.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Melba Hill Manasco; son, Douglass Manasco (Jane) of Searcy; daughters, Rose Mary Ragan of Mesquite, TX; Carlotta Houston (Mike) of El Dorado, AR; six grandchildren, Melissa Herling; Laura Hurst (Terry); Richard Herling (June); Sarah Sikes (Garrett); Kegan Houston; Will Houston; three great grandchildren, Macky Ann Hurst; Matthew Billings; Jackson Sikes; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. Services were 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment followed at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Searcy, AR. The family request that memorial contributions can be made to Hospice, 106 S. Spring St., Searcy, AR 72143 or Temple Baptist Church, 700 W.
