Gary Ryan Hefner was born January 12, 1951 to Bill and Barbara (Quattlebaum) Hefner, and he went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2010 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Gary was a 1969 graduate of Beebe High School and joined the Air Force after attending college at ASU-Beebe, serving his country for four years.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Debra; his parents; two daughters, Shelly McIntyre of Beebe and Nikki (Mark) Rippy of Bald Knob; grandsons, Christopher McIntyre and Mikey Kurck of Beebe; one sister, Patti (Gary) Mathis of Beebe; sister-in-law, Amy (Robert) Woodall of Alabama; brother-in-law, Jimmy (Susie) Harmon of Little Rock; mother-in-law, Lucille Harmon; nephews, Aaron (Missy) Mathis and Jared Mathis both of Beebe; three nieces, Heather, Ashley, and Amber; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lonnie & Vela Hefner and John & Luda Quattlebaum; brother, Michael Hefner; and grandson, Blake Kurck.
Visitation was from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 9 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe. Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 10 at the Antioch Church with burial in the Antioch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Aaron Mathis, Jared Mathis, Jim Harmon, J.W.
