I hope your new year is going well. I will be glad when this artic blast of cold weather moves on through. I think winter should only be about 60-degrees - don’t you? But, then we wouldn’t get rid of some of the bugs. So, there’s always a trade-off.
I’ve been battling some contagious diseases with my cats. It has been - and still is - a real battle. When you have several cats (to put it mildly) you have to watch each little thing or pretty soon you have an epidemic on your hands. I don’t have that - but I do have several cats that are really ill. Please pray for my cats to get well! I really appreciate all the prayers many of you have given me in the past for my little Squeak during her illness and eventual death. My cats right now don’t have that same problem and if they survive this - they will be normal and live a normal life span. It’s just getting there. It takes a lot of my time giving them individual attention with medication and I’m having to feed them with syringes - as they are not to the point where they will eat by themselves. I’m hopeful and prayerful that we’ll get there in the near future.
I haven’t had enough time to allocate to my New Year’s resolutions, yet. I have quit drinking Cokes. That was a big step for me as I usually had one in my hand at all times. I haven’t given up caffeine and don’t intend to do that. You have to have something. But, it wasn’t as hard to give up Cokes as I thought. I don’t drink diet Cokes either. I think the stuff in there is really bad for you. I just gave up Cokes in an effort to decrease my sugar intake. As you get older, you just don’t need that much sugar. I think a Coke has 27 grams of sugar in it. That’s a huge amount.
Anyway, I am slowly on my path to accomplishing my New Year’s resolutions. Hope you are, too!
Go to your happy place!
See you next week!
