Key Club Donates to Cystic Fibrosis
Dec 24th, 2009 | By admin | Category: EducationOn November 14th the Beebe High School Key Club held its tenth annual 5k run. The original 5k was a benefit for Erin Knight, a Beebe High School student stricken with cancer, and every race since then has been a benefit with the proceeds split between the club and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. This year’s race was dedicated to Braden Benton, the son of Beebe School teacher Martie Benton and grandson of Superintendent Dr. Belinda Shook. Braden has been diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, and in his honor the Key Club donated the proceeds of the 2009 race, two thousand dollars, to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Arkansas. On behalf of the Beebe High School Key Club, we would like to extend tremendous thanks to our sponsors which made the donation possible. They are: Shook Farms, Total Erosion Control, On-Site Equipment Repair, John Kloss Auto, Kiwanis International, Ozark Biomedical, Sonic, Conrad Electic, 1st Southern Bank, Jacksonville Steel, Kidz Kan, Beebe Farm and Ranch, C & C Conoco, Centennial Bank, Exxon Tigermart, Farm Bureau, and First Security Bank.
