Mr. and Mrs. Gale E. Brewer of England announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Laura Beth, to Tyson Gibbs of Sherrill.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gaylon Gibbs of Beebe.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mattie Brewer of Wabbaseka and the late Harrison E. Brewer, and Eunice Crosby of Columbia, S.C.
She is a graduate of England High School and is a senior at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education in May. She is a primetime teacher at eStem Elementary Public Charter School.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Betty Sue Tiner of Beebe and the late Huey H. Tiner, and the late Oliver and Minnie Gibbs of Keo.
He is a graduate of England High School and attended Arkansas State University at Jonesboro where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with emphasis in Sports Management. He is a physical education teacher and coach at Dollarway School District.
The wedding will be at 5 p.m January 9 at First Missionary Baptist Church in Sherrill.
