Billy Wayne Tiner, age 62 of Heber Springs, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 8, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Heber Springs. Born July 12, 1947 in McCrory, AR, he was the son of Betty Sue Tiner of Beebe and the late Huie H. Tiner.
Bill was a member of Heber Springs Baptist Church and a retired educator who enjoyed working as part-time real estate agent during the past few years. He was also a square dance caller for 28 years and was known and loved by many fellow square dancers.
Bill is survived by his wife, Dianne R. Tiner of Heber Springs and children: Alison West (Johnny) of Heber Springs, Cori Tubbs (Mike) of McCrory, Cyle Tiner (Stacy) of McCrory, Todd Brogden (Jessica) of Maumelle, and Grant Brogdon (Schree) of Searcy. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Jane Gibbs (Gaylon) of Beebe.
Bill is also survived by grandchildren: Bailey Tubbs, Rebecca and Ben Brogdon, Mary Fran Borgdon, Mabry Tiner, Tyner and Troy West. “Uncle Bill” will also be missed by his special nieces and nephews: Janea, Tyson, Leanne, Derek, Clint, Courtney, and Cassidy. In addition, he leaves a host of many relatives and special friends including long-time square dance caller, Curt Davis.
Visitation was held Tuesday, November 10, at Heber Springs Baptist Church on Hwy 25b North from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 11 at 10:00 a.m. at the same location.
