Homicide in Beebe - Son Allegedly Kills Father Early Sunday Evening
Nov 12th, 2009 | By admin | Category: Top StoryBeebe Chief of Police Wayne Ballew reported that at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 8th, 2009, Billy Joe Clark, 75, of 305 North Hickory Street in Beebe was found dead in his home. The deceased was an apparent victim of a homicide. Officers of the Beebe Police Department along with Deputies of the White County Sheriff’s Office were able to identify a person of interest during the course of their investigation. Contact was made with this individual and an interview took place at the Beebe Police Department at approximately 8:45 p.m. The individual was identified as Christopher S. Clark, 43, of McRae who is a son of the deceased, according to Chief Ballew. A search warrant was obtained by the investigating officers and evidence was found and seized at the residence. As a result of the investigation, Christopher S. Clark was placed under arrest and was transported to the White County Detention Center in Searcy where he is being held with no bond pending formal charges. Prosecuting Attorney Chris Raff has charged Christopher S. Clark with Capital Felony Murder.
