Congratulations to Shayln Young and Donald Lewis for being chosen by their teachers as October students-of-the-month.  They were selected on the basis of academic excellence, citizenship, and extracurricular participation.
Shayln Young is a junior at Beebe High School 11-12.  In Shayln’s own words:  “First of all, I’d like to say that I am truly honored to be student-of-the-month.  I’d also like to thank God, because without Him I wouldn’t have received this award.  And thanks to all the teachers that voted for me.”    Shayln is a 16-year-old Christian with a great personality who loves to succeed at anything she attempts in life.  She is a hard worker and a determined “go-getter” when it comes to what she wants or needs.  She also loves to play basketball and is a member of the Lady Badger basketball team.
Donald Ray Lewis II (Donny) is a senior at Beebe High School 11-12.  He is the son of Donald and Jene Lewis of Beebe.  He is a 6-year Beebe Badger football player, a member of FCA, Beta Club, and Key Club.  Donny is a member of First Assembly of God Church in Beebe.  He enjoys playing and watching all sports, hunting, and fishing.  He loves spending time with his sister Victoria, brother-in-law Tyler, nephew Clayton Ballard, and with friends.  Donny plans to graduate with honors and attend college at Arkansas State University to major in journalism with emphasis on sports broadcasting and on history.
