Drug Arrests
Oct 22nd, 2009 | By admin | Category: News and FeaturesChief Wayne Ballew reported the arrests of two individuals on drug charges on Thursday, October 15th, 2009.
At 11:30 a.m., Beebe Narcotics Investigator Kristy Pickard and White County Narcotics Deputy Jordan Tucker arrested John Paul Johnston, 28, of Beebe and charged him with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The officers located Johnston, who was wanted on a misdemeanor warrant out of Woodruff County, at a residence on Mississippi Street. Johnston was held in lieu of a $1,150.00 bond.
In addition, Investigator Pickard made another drug arrest at 12:43 p.m.. Joshua P. Royce, 18, was arrested at his Glen Lee address and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance after eight (8) tablets of a schedule IV drug were found on his person. Chief Ballew identified the controlled substance in the tablets as codeine. Royce was processed at the Beebe Police Department and held in lieu of a $840.00 bond.
