Little Rock – The Republican Party of Arkansas recently hired a new Executive Director to run their day to day operations and to craft their political strategy going into the 2010 elections. The new director is Beebe resident Chase Dugger.  Dugger, 26, is a 2002 graduate of Beebe High School and attended college at Arkansas State University Jonesboro.
Party Chairman Doyle Webb announced the hire, which went in to effect October 1st, early last week stating “Chase has deep roots in Arkansas. His love of this state and his desire to advance the two party system are great qualities.  When you add these to his exceptional work and experience in the past, it is no wonder that he was selected our Executive Director.”
“2010 is going to be a great year for the Republican Party” said Dugger.  “We are going to pick up seats at the local, state, and national level.  I am excited about being a part of that and look forward to seeing the Party grow in Arkansas.”
Discussing his White County roots, Dugger stated “I have always enjoyed working with Rep. Dismang, Judge Lincoln, former Judge Parish, and the leaders of the County Republican Committee.  Making sure Rep. Dismang is elected to the State Senate is a top priority, it’s also my hope that I can use this new position in a way that helps the Party elect more Justices of the Peace, a new Mayor of Searcy, and the rest of the House of Representative seats so that we become the true majority party in the County.
When asked if Governor Mike Beebe, who is from Searcy and a Democrat, could hinder that goal, Dugger said “Gov. Beebe is very popular in his home county and we don’t expect that to change.  He seems to be genuine in his actions, and I appreciate his service to our state.  That doesn’t replace the fact that most White County citizens, who are typically conservative, overwhelmingly voted against President Obama and are tired of the national Democrat party’s liberal agenda.  We are pro life, pro family, fiscally responsible and don’t see the need for government to get involved in our everyday life’s.”
He continued with “it’s becoming more and more obvious that the state Democrat Party is progressively embracing the liberal policies of President Obama and are moving away from their traditional ‘conservative democrat’ base.  It has left many agreeing with Ronald Reagan’s now famous words – ‘I didn’t leave the Democrat party, the Democrat party left me.’”
Rep. Jonathan Dismang, also of Beebe, said it is great to have Dugger leading the Party.  “Chase is a part of what should be seen as a new generation of Republican leaders in Arkansas.  This new generation is looking to return the party to its roots and core principles.  Chase is a perfect fit for accomplishing that goal.  He stays level headed, he debates with facts, and he uses common sense to develop solutions.  Good things are about to happen for the Republican Party in Arkansas and I’m honored to be friends with the guy that’s going to make that happen.”
