Myrtle Lee (Lynch) Toney, 93, of Beebe, died Wednesday, September 23, 2009. She was born September 15, 1916 in Brassville, Arkansas a daughter of the late William and Molly Mae Hollingsworth Luton. She was a retired nurse and a member of the homemakers club and the Nazarene Church of Beebe. She enjoyed collecting recipes and was an excellent cook.
She is survived by a son, Nick Lynch (Debbie) of Milton, Florida; five daughters, Sherma Mudge (Pat) of Alexander, Connie Getchen (David) of Cave City, Barbara Garrison (Dick) of Grove, Oklahoma, Sharon Horvath (Mark Donham) of Beebe and Sandy Michael (Harold) of Fayetteville; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Sherman Lynch and Avery Toney; daughter, Diane Divinere; an infant son and three sisters.
Visitation was Friday, September 25, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. Services were conducted Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Searcy. Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery by Powell Funeral Homes. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
