Hunter Daniels, 18, of Jacksonville and a student at ASU-Beebe,  has recently had a unique decision to make. Does he accept his nomination to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs or his nomination to attend Westpoint Military Academy in New York? Before making the decision, Hunter shared his thoughts on the outcome of that decision, saying, “It will go well either way – I can’t go wrong with either choice. Both places will offer great opportunities.”

After a weekend of thought and prayers, his decision was made. Hunter chose to attend Westpoint Military Academy.

Hunter comes from a family with seven siblings – where he is the oldest. His father is   COL.(s) Brian Daniels of the Little Rock Air Force Base (who will be pinned a Bird Colonel on March 31st) and his mom, Amy, is the headmistress of the home-schooled Daniels’ clan.

“I was fortunate to receive word that I was accepted at both the U.S. Air Force Academy and Westpoint Military Academy,” commented Hunter. He received a phone call from Sen. Tom Cotton’s office Thursday, March 19, with the good news. Hunter received recommendations from both Arkansas senators, one congressman and a presidential nomination to attend Westpoint Military Academy. He received the same recommendations for attending the U.S. Air Force Academy with the exception of the presidential nomination – for which he did not apply.

Both institutions begin their academic year for freshmen in late June. Hunter plans to major in economics.

We wish Hunter the best of luck!
