John Douglass, Beebe’s Former Parks Director, Dies at 85

City  Ball Park Named After Douglass in 1998; Inducted into Arkansas Softball Hall of Fame in July 2014

John Douglass, who for many years, was the driving force behind making the Beebe City Ball Park what it is today, died Feb. 17, 2015. He will be missed by many but he leaves a great legacy in the many improvements that were made during his time overseeing and working to make Beebe’s Ball Park a credit to the community. The ball park was named the John Douglass Sports Complex in May of 1998.
