What’s Left?

Looks like this is the last “free” week for you students of Beebe Public Schools. I hope you’ve had a great summer and have lots of energy and desire to get back to school and make it a great school year.  It’s always exciting going back and meeting friends and starting a new grade.  I hope all of you who are teachers are ready.

Open House is tonight (Thursday), 4 -7 p.m. – so that should be fun!

I found out last week that my kitty, Simba, is diabetic. This is a new experience for me – giving my cat insulin shots. Thankfully, the needles are so tiny that he doesn’t even know it when I’m giving him a shot.  I’m hoping to get him regulated so that he can get back to his old self. He’s been very lethargic lately. Last night, after him being on insulin for the past 4 or 5 days, I had my laser pointer out and played with him and his buddy, Tigger (aka Tiggabell). Tigger ran all over the place chasing the laser dot and Simba followed it some. He’s too big (24 lbs.) to chase it – but he hides behind a chair leg and wait for it to come by. He has pretty much always done that…he’s kind of smart and definitely lazy. But he does now have an excuse. So, I hope to have him up and running around soon. I’ll keep you updated.

Have a great few last days of summer.

Go to your happy place.

See you next week.
