Sullivan, MO, July 1, 2014—– Effective July 1, Fidelity Communications increased Internet speeds for its customers in Arkansas with no rate increase.

Affected are customers in Maumelle, Benton, Alexander, Bauxite, Beebe, Bryant, Cherokee Village, Hardy, Haskell, Hensley, Highland, Little Rock, Mabelvale, Mammoth Springs, North Little Rock, Pulaski and Shannon Hills, Arkansas. Fidelity is based in Sullivan, Missouri.

Both download and upload speeds are now faster. Download speeds for 25 Meg customers more than doubled to 60 Megabits per second. Customers with 50 Meg service were upgraded to 100 Meg speeds, by far the fastest speeds available in these areas, with much faster 5 Meg upload speeds—perfect for gamers or people sending and receiving large data files.

Also receiving faster service are 8 Meg Internet customers, now at 10 Meg, and 16 Meg customers, who were increased to 20 Meg download speeds. All customers received corresponding increases in upload speeds of up to 300 percent.

“Fidelity prides itself on being the Internet speed leader in all the areas we serve,” said Missy Poje, Director of Marketing. “We also believe in making continuous investments in our network to maintain that status.” Fidelity Internet packages require no contract and have no data caps, unlike many of its competitors. Fidelity also offers free basic installation, she said.

In connection with the speed increases, Fidelity is offering a special limited time promotion—20 Meg Internet service for $30 a month for an entire year—and giving away a Kindle Fire HD tablet to any new or existing customer who upgrades to 100 Meg service for $75 a month. The Kindle offer requires a 12 month contract. In addition, MEGAView TV is being offered for $50 a month for a year, including three Mini HD boxes and TV Everywhere service.
