Beebe Police Captain Eddie Cullum released the following information regarding adjudications in the White County Circuit Court pertaining to cases presented by officers of the BBPD for prosecution.
March 25th, 2014 - Jenny Rebecca Copeland, 38, of Beebe pled guilty for her arrest on March 11th, 2013 in Beebe for “Possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance (marijuana), “Shoplifting” (Fred’s Dept. Store) and “Endangering the welfare of a minor”. Officer Justin Lee was the arresting officer. She also pled guilty to an additional charge of “Shoplifting” (Dollar General) and “Possession of a controlled substance (2 tablets of oxycodone. Copeland was arrested by Lt. Brian Duke. Copeland was sentenced to 12 months probation, fined $1,000.00 and ordered to pay $200.00 in court costs. The cases were appealed to Circuit Court after receiving convictions in the White County District Court - Beebe Department.
May 7th, 2014 - Michael Jay Ragsdale, 29, of Ward pled guilty to “Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance: Methamphetamine with the purpose to deliver”(under 2 grams). He was sentenced to 72 months probation, fined $1,500.00, ordered to pay $150.00 in court costs, $250.00 DNA Sample Fee, Drug Crime Assessment Fee of $125.00, a $50.00 warrant fee and a $20.00 Booking/Admin fee. Ragsdale was arrested by BBPD Investigator Josh Middleton in August of 2013.
May 7th, 2014 - Benny Eugene Hefner, Jr., 45, of Beebe, pled guilty to “Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance: methamphetamine (under 2 grams) and “Possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to inject meth”. He was sentenced to 72 months probation on each count which is to run concurrent, fined $1,800.00, ordered to pay $150.00 in court costs, $250.00 DNA Sample Fee, $125.00 Drug Crime Assessment Fee, $50.00 Warrant Fee and $20.00 Booking/Admin. Fee. Hefner was arrested on July 25th, 2013 by Lt. Brian Duke.
May 7th, 2014 - Trey Lee Price, 23, of Beebe pled guilty to “Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance-Meth” (less than 2 grams)and was sentenced to 48 months probation, fined $1,000.00, ordered to pay $150.00 in court costs, $250.00 DNA Sample Fee, $125.00 Drug Crime Assessment Fee, $40.00 Public Defender User Fee, $50.00 Warrant Fee and a $20.00 Booking/Admin.Fee. Price was arrested by Lt. Brian Duke and Asst. Chief Ron Lewis on March 10th, 2014.
