The tornado Sunday night which killed 15 people damaged property in White County at  El Paso with some damage around Floyd and Center Hill. The brunt of the damage was sustained in Vilonia and Mayflower where 11 people were killed. One person, Paula Blakemore, was killed in El Paso. Three people were killed in Pulaski County at Paron.

The tornado hit Vilonia at 7:50 p.m. according to the National Weather Service and then a few minutes later (7:57-8:02) it hit El Paso. The weather service has not determined yet if the tornado was an EF3 or an EF4. The girth of the tornado is said to have been between 1/3 and 1/2 mile with winds of 165 mph or higher.

Christina Chambers, who is pictured above, at right, said that she and her family had just  lost their television reception and their cell phone service and had only a few seconds to hunker down in their hallway when they heard the tornado. She and her husband and daughter were not seriously hurt but had several large bruises and cuts on their bodies.
