Falling temperatures Sunday afternoon heralded the entrance of a myriad of weather conditions. Rainfall came first and was welcomed in this area to help alleviate the dry conditions. In Beebe there was about an inch of rain which was followed by periods of sleet, freezing rain, sleet again and then a few snow flurries. In the Beebe area we received about 2-inches of sleet with temperatures dropping Sunday night to the low 20’s and then a high of only about 30 on Monday. Tuesday temperatures rose just above freezing and some melting took place. Temperatures are predicted to rise over the next few days. Beebe Schools were out Monday and Tuesday and might possibly have to be closed again on Wednesday - decision as yet to be made at the time of this writing Tuesday.
