The Beebe Police executed a search and seizure warrant issued by Judge Mark Derrick on Friday, Feb. 28th at 5:46 p.m. on Pine View Drive in Beebe. Beebe Police found and seized over an ounce of (ice) methamphetamine, over one pound of high grade marijuana, numerous items of drug paraphernalia, ledger book with handwritten notes and figures, seven handguns (two were reported stolen), two long guns, $794. in cash, several cell phones and four laptop computers, according to Beebe Police Chief Wayne Ballew.
Arrested and charged was Jermaine Payne, 33, who faces several felony charges including possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and simultaneous possession of firearms and drugs. Payne was incarcerated in the White County Detention Center in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
Also arrested and charged was Amber Nicole Mahoney, 28. She was charged with three counts of delivery of methamphetamine and use of a communication device. Her bond was set at $20,000.
The warrant was issued by the Circuit Court after Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Becky Reed submitted an Affidavit for the narcotics section of the Beebe Police Dept. Payne’s 2008 BMW sedan and Mahoney’s 2006 Pontiac sedan were seized by the officers
