State Representative Jeremy Gillam Files For Re-Election

State Representative Jeremy Gillam is running for re-election to the Arkansas House of Representatives. He is currently serving his second term. “The opportunity to serve and represent the citizens of this district is a great honor. It is a responsibility that I take very seriously,” said Gillam.

He is also seeking the position of House Speaker in his third term. “Leading the House of Representatives is something that I feel called to do,” adds Gillam. The Speaker of the House is voted on by members of the House after the Fiscal session is completed.

Representative Gillam is Chairman of both the House Management Committee and the Health Insurance Marketplace Oversight Committee. He is a member of the House Judiciary Committee as well as the Agriculture and Economic Development Committee, the House Rules Committee and the Arkansas Legislative Council.

Jeremy is co-owner of Gillam Farms. He is a graduate of Beebe High School. He attended ASU Beebe before completing degrees in Criminology and Psychology at ASU in Jonesboro.

He also serves as a member of the White County Farm Bureau Board of Directors, the ASU Beebe Development Council, Horticulture Chairman for Arkansas Farm Bureau, member of the Arkansas Foundation for Agriculture Board of Directors, and member of the American Farm Bureau Labor Committee.

Jeremy is a past member of the USDA Fruit and Vegetable Advisory Committee and the American Farm Bureau Horticulture Committee.

He and wife, Carissa, and their two sons live in Judsonia. They are members of Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy where Jeremy and Carissa teach the College and Careers Bible Study classes. Jeremy also serves as a Deacon.
