On 01/08/2014, Franklin L. Markham, 33, of Beebe, pled guilty to “Criminal Mischief in the First Degree” and was sentenced to 48 months probation, a $1,000.00 fine and ordered to pay $1,000.00 restitution to the damage he caused on 03/06/2013.
Markham drove past a residence on North Pecan Street and observed a car parked in the driveway. He then stopped, backed up and proceeded to accelerate his pickup into the driveway and then ram the parked car in the rear causing damage to both vehicles. April Markham, Franklin Markham’s ex-wife, saw what was going to happen and ran into her residence and called 911. Lee Cossey, 38, also of Beebe was sitting in the parked car when it was stuck. A physical altercation took place between the men but had ceased prior to the arrival of the Beebe Police units. Both men sustained minor injuries during the incident.
