What’s Left?

Usually, when I’m thinking about what I’m going to write about in the next column, I mentally make notes of things that are going on/bothering me/amusing me/ etc. This week, as I was thinking about it - and not wanting to run the erratic weather topic into the ground - as I write about it about every other week - I started noticing the number of red pick-up trucks we have in town. Have you ever noticed that?  I know we have lots of white pick-up trucks but it seems that the red ones have suddenly over taken them. Now, maybe that is just a figment of my imagination since red seems to “stick out” - but I don’t really think so. It seems to me - as I’ve been trying to take note of the number since I was going to write about it - that about one out of 4 trucks are red. Take notice and see what you think… I don’t know what this says about our populace - more aggressive, tired of white, only one available on the lot, etc. I’ll leave that to you psychologists out there. But you might want to beware…..I’m just saying….

What about that Super Bowl?  OK - that’s enough to say about that. I felt sorry for the Fox Network as the local Fox channel began promoting a give-a-way of a trip to next year’s Super Bowl right after the game. I would have waited a week or two at least and let some of the boredom wear off. Right now - if I had tickets for next year’s SB, I’d be re-thinking that and putting them on Ebay.

Anyway, there were a few funny commercials - although I missed the one that everyone seemed to like - the puppy on the Budweiser commercial. But I did like the Bruno Mars concert. That guy is so talented. I saw him on Saturday Night Live one time where he did impressions of about 5 different singers - he was great!  The lighting they used during that performance were incredible. I bet it was really neat seeing it in person but it might have been so spread out that it was hard to see the whole thing. For sure it took lots of work for a lot of people. I’m glad it all went off without any security issues. Now on to the Olympics starting this Friday night! Yea!

Go to your happy place!

See you next week!
