The Lady Badgers traveled to Paragould Friday January 24,2014 to take on their Conference foe, the Lady Greene County Tech Golden Eagles and fell short in the end, 49-43.

The game was played very closely throughout – with the Lady Badgers holding a 5-point, 26-21, lead at halftime. But, with the no quit attitude of the Lady Eagles, they battled back to take a one point in the game, 34-33, leading into the final stanza.

With the leading Lady Badger scorer (Gracie Anders) playing with 4 fouls the entire fourth quarter – the Lady Golden Eagles were able to work the ball inside more and build a lead that the Lady Badgers could not overcome – giving them a decided edge and ultimately the win. The Lady Badgers were led in scoring by Anders – who had 22 points and 12 rebounds and Kalela Miller who finished with 8 points and 5 rebounds. The Lady Badgers now stand at 9-6 overall and 3-2 in Conference play.

The ladies will host the Wynne Yellowjackets Tuesday January 28th and the Nettleton Raiders Friday January 31st at Badger Arena, with both game starting at 6p.m. If you can’t make it out to the games – you can catch all of the action live with Shane Smith on the Badger Sports Network at, for all of the home games.
