Beebe Police Captain Eddie Cullum released the following information regarding recent guilty pleas to felony charges in the White county Circuit Court:
Anthony Scott Fortune, 61, of Hwy. 31, Lonoke, AR was sentenced to 48 months probation for “possession of a firearm by certain persons.” Fortune was also fined $1,500. and ordered to pay $150. in court costs, $20 booking fee, $250 DNA sample fee and a $50 warrant fee. The charge against Fortune was investigated by Investigator Josh Middleton and Brett Shippee.
Samantha Jo Sanders, 24, of Lonoke, AR was sentenced to 60 months probation for “Theft by Receiving.” Sanders was also fined $1,000. and ordered to pay $150. in court costs, $20 booking fee, $250 DNA sample fee, $40 public defender fee and $50 warrant fee. The case involved a stolen 2010 Chevrolet 4-door sedan and was investigated by Captain Eddie Cullum. ASU Officer Kraig Magby had stopped the vehicle during the early morning hours of Sept. 23, 2013 on Orange Street in Beebe and Sanders fled on foot. Miller was later arrested after Investigator Josh Middleton tracked her using the BBPD K-9 “Owen” and found hiding behind a bush on the ASU Campus. The vehicle was stolen from Saline County.
