What’s Left?

Cold, cold, cold!!! This has been a very cold couple of days. Here in Arkansas, how many times can you say, “Gee - I’ll be glad when it warms up to 32-degrees.” Today (Monday) it got up to a warm, warm, 22 degrees (according to the thermometer in my car) but the real problem was the wind chill. I think it was around 0 or -5 or lower.  I can’t stand cold weather but since I can’t do anything about it - I’ll just hope that the warmer weather gets here soon. And to top the coldness off - my hair is so short that I feel like I need to wear my knit hat at all times.

And to top that - what a cold day  for the kids to come back to school from Christmas break. I hope none of them had to wait too long at the bus stops. It would have been terrible. But we are not the only state suffering from the cold - it seems almost the whole U.S. is battling snow and/or a frigid blast of cold temps.

I hope you are all taking good care of your animals during this Arctic cold blast. Make sure your outside animals have a shelter that protects them from the wind and gives them some insulation. Make sure you give them fresh, warm water each day if you don’t have one of those heating elements that keeps water from freezing. We just have a day or two more to withstand these temps.

So - have you gotten your New Year’s resolutions all planned out? It’s easy to make them but unless you plan it out - they’ll just sit there. It’s kind of like going on a diet. You have to plan it out. So, I hope you are making progress if you made some resolutions! It’s a new year - make the best of it!

Go to your happy place.

See you next week!
