Beebe Police Chief Wayne Ballew released the following information regarding the arrest of a Beebe man for drug and alcohol violations.
On Wednesday, November 27th, 2013, John Carl Kuntz, 70, of Beebe was served with arrest warrants charging him with nine (9) felony violations and one (1) liquor violation.
The felony charges were: “Maintaining a drug premises within 1,000 feet of a drug free zone” / 2 counts of “Delivery of a Schedule III controlled substance Hydrocodone” / “Delivery of a Schedule IV controlled substance-Soma” / Delivery of a schedule IV controlled substance-Alprazolam (Xanax)” / “Possession of a schedule III controlled substance with purpose to deliver” / “Possession of a schedule IV Depressant with purpose to deliver” / “Use of a communication device” / “Endangering the Welfare of an Incompetent Person in the First Degree.” The misdemeanor warrant for the liquor violation was for : “Sale,Barter, Possession for Sale/barter in drug area.”
Kuntz was transported to the Beebe Police Department for processing and then transferred to the White County Detention Center in Searcy and held in lieu of a $21,125.00 bond. Chief Ballew said that the charges are the result of an undercover investigation by the narcotics section of the police department which began on May 3rd, 2013 and ended with the search of Kuntz’s home on N. Fir Street and unlicensed business on Dewitt Henry Drive on September 20th, 2013.
