What’s Left?

Wow!  It really feels like Fall with these cool temperatures.  I’m glad we got Homecoming out of the way before the cool spell came in. Although - it was a little damp Homecoming night with sporadic light rain coming down during the royalty presentation. But it didn’t put a damper on any of the Homecoming Court as they seemed to be having a great time during and after the ceremony.  We even had a little dance with the Poe’s - father and daughter dance. It was cute and as far as I can remember, the first time that ever happened. It was cute!

The Homecoming Parade was the longest I can remember. There were lots of participants and the weather was perfect - slightly warm and sunny. It was just perfect. Hope you got to see the parade. I believe at least half the town was in the parade…ha!

It sure was great to see Coach Bill Pruitt and his wife, Linda, at the game Friday night. He looked great and was really enjoying the game! Way to go, Coach Pruitt! You know we are all cheering for you!!!!

Have you gotten your flu shot?  Well - if not - you can get it at Beebe City Hall this next Monday, Oct. 28th from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Don’t forget to get it! This year they have 3 strains in one shot - so you won’t get the wrong shot for the strain of flu that happens to come around. I got mine last week and didn’t have any problem - just a slightly sore arm.

Daylight  Savings time will end (fall back) in a little over one week, Sunday morning (2 a.m.) Nov. 3rd (the Sunday after Halloween - which is Thursday night). Anyway - you’ll set your clocks back and have that extra hour of sleep you lost when we went on Daylight Savings time in March.

Go to your happy place.

See you next week.
