What’s Left?

It’s 11:37 Washington D.C. time - and I’m watching CSPAN2 and feeling sick as I watch our bureaucrats stand around and talk as our government is about to shut down. It literaily makes me sick. These legislators need to feel the pain of the people they are hurting. I say, “Throw all of them out that let this happen.” Really - they were elected by us and they can be voted out by us. Please remember how your legislators voted tonight. ( OK - it’s past midnight and the government is officially shut down!

Now on to something else - that might make more sense and be less nauseating.

Well  this week my mom is celebrating her birthday. I won’t say how many candles but let’s just say the fire dept. will be on alert….just kidding, mom!  Anyway, it is so good and I am so blessed to have my mom here with me and the rest of the family. She is in great shape and loves to go, go, go! I always kid her saying that her middle name is “go.” Mom and I live together - along with all the cats and a few dogs, and a mouse, Mr. Squiggles. Anyway, I can honestly say that I learn something from my mom almost every day. I feel sorry for people who aren’t close with their mother or whose mother has already passed. My mom is a wealth of information and advice and I really appreciate her. I know she has to have great patience to live with me and all my cats - and she does very well - I think because she knows how much I love my animals. She has gotten so that she even appreciates a few of them. So, thank you, mom, for being such a great inspiration to me and all your friends and other family members. We love you and wish you many, many more happy birthday!!!!

I hope you all have a great week and let’s pray that the government shutdown is over by the time this paper goes to press.

Go to your happy place!

See you next week.
