Badgers Drop Second Game of Season

(Lonoke) – The Badger football team traveled to Lonoke Friday, September 13, 2013 and dropped a hard fought decision to the Jackrabbits 41-14.

The Badgers had five offensive turnovers during the game, which ultimately was the deciding factor.

The Badgers were able to rush for 212 yards on 39 carries behind Trip Smith’s 78 yards on 19 carries, Aaron Nunez’s 76 yards on 13 carries and Clayton Meurer’s 34 yards on 5 rushing attempts.

Nunez also passed for 42 yards on 4 for 6 attempts with 2 interceptions.

The Badgers ended the game with 254 yards of total offensive, while giving up 519 yards of total offensive to the Jackrabbits, on 454 yards of rushing on 46 attempts and 65 yards of passing on 7 of 10 attempts.

The Badgers now stand at 0-2 for the season and will host rival Vilonia on Friday night September 20th at Bro. Erwin Stadium.  Game time will be at 7:00pm. Come out and support the Badgers as they go for their first win of the new season!!
