What’s Left?

I don’t know which I dislike most - 100-degree temps (like last summer) or tropical rainstorms almost every afternoon. Yes - I understand that we probably needed the rain - but it’s hard to keep the grass mowed - since it grows about 2” every afternoon. I guess we need to look at it like “variety” keeps us on our toes?! I just need to make do.

Changing the subject of nothing I can do about anyway, tonight (Monday) the American Ninja Warrior (on NBC) was on. If you’ve never watched it - it is just great. It is this elaborate obstacle course and these athletes - both male and female - mostly male - compete to finish the course and move on to the next more difficult course. It is very entertaining because the courses are incredibly difficult. I can’t even imagine what they cost to construct - looks like about a million dollars - but I guess about $100,000 would be more accurate. Anyway, the ones that finished the course tonight (I think it was in Baltimore) will move on to the finals in Las Vegas. Next Monday night, the competition will be in Miami, FL. It seems the mountain climbers have done the best overall as a group because of their strong upper bodies and because of their strong grips. You can’t tell from the title of the show how interesting it is - in fact I would have never watched it by just reading the title - but I accidentally watched it last year and have been watching it ever since.  I think it’s great for kids to watch because it encourages physical fitness. Good clean fun.

Hope you’re having a great summer!

Go to your happy place.

See you next week!
