Arkansas State University-Beebe is making it easy for new, transfer and returning students to register for the 2013 fall semester.

Open Registration will be held Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Science Building on the Beebe campus. Students may register for classes to attend any one of the four ASU-Beebe campuses (Beebe, Heber Springs, Searcy, and the Little Rock Air Force Base).

New students should bring test scores from the Compass, ACT, or SAT exams taken within the last five years; official high school or college transcript or GED test results; and proof of immunization for measles, mumps, and rubella.

For returning students, advisors will be available and the Registrar’s Office will be open.

For those needing assistance with FAFSA, students should bring a 2012 federal tax return and a Form W-2. If filing dependent, students will also need a copy of their parent’s tax returns and Form W-2.

To assist students in registering for fall classes, personnel from admissions, advising, and financial aid will also be available, and the bookstore and business office will be open.

The university offers a variety of options for students who want to pursue an associate’s degree or technical certificate for transfer to a four-year university or for entrance into the workforce.

ASU-Beebe degrees may be earned in various fields of study toward an Associate of Arts, Associate of Fine Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science, or an Associate of General Studies. The Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Associate of General Studies degrees may be earned completely online through the Online College.

Certificates of Proficiency and Technical Certification may be pursued in fields such as office occupations, computer information systems, medical lab technology, early childhood education, and paramedics. For those students seeking a four-year degree, classes from ASU-Jonesboro are available on the Beebe campus.

Day, night, and eight-week classes will begin Monday, August 19. The last day to register or add courses for the fall semester will be August 23, with final semester exams administered December 5 through 10.
