At 1:13 pm, on Thursday, March 7th, 2013, the Beebe Police Department received a 911 call from “Healthway” Pharmacy” on W. Dewitt Henry Drive reporting that a man had jumped over the counter in the pharmacy into the area containing medications.  Within 2 minutes three officers with the BBPD arrived on the scene and arrested Nathaniel James Colvin, 23, of Ward, Arkansas.
Investigation revealed that Colvin entered the pharmacy, walked to the back counter and jumped it displaying a knife to the employees. He demanded to know where certain prescription narcotics were located. He then proceeded to open and consume most of the contents of three prescription bottles. The drugs he consumed included the strong pain medications “OxyContin” and “Oxymorphone”.  An ambulance was summoned to the pharmacy and Colvin was transported to the White County Medical Center for emergency treatment.  He was kept overnight and guarded by a Beebe Police Officer.  Colvin was released from the hospital at approximately 8:40 a.m. the morning of the 8th and immediately transported to the White County Detention Center in Searcy where he is being held under a $100,000 bond for “Aggravated Robbery and Theft of Property.”
